BIG4 Port Hughes Holiday Park

We are on South Terrace, Port Hughes SA 5558, on the beachfront on the Copper Coast of the Yorke Peninsula, just under two hours from Adelaide. Moonta and Moonta Bay are 5 minutes away.

Yes. The park has direct beach access. It has two sections about 450 metres apart: the Foreshore section has beach views, and the main section has the swimming pool and entertainment facilities. All guests can use all facilities.

Yes. Dogs are welcome all year on our powered sites and in our designated dog-friendly cabins. Dogs must be approved by management before you arrive, with a maximum of two per booking, and dog-friendly cabins have a $50 minimum cleaning surcharge. Dogs aren’t allowed in communal areas such as the camp kitchen and amenities blocks. Read our Dog Policy for the full details.

Yes. There is a solar-heated swimming pool in the main section of the park.

Yes. Port Hughes is known as a fishing destination. Port Hughes Jetty is one of the Yorke Peninsula’s top land-based fishing spots, offering garfish, tommy ruff, squid, blue swimmer crabs and seasonal King George whiting, with the best results at dawn, dusk and on moving tides.

Check-in is from 12:00pm for sites and 2:00pm for cabins. Check-out is by 10:00am. Late check-out until 4:00pm may be available for a small fee, subject to availability.

No. Charging electric vehicles, e-bikes, e-scooters and lithium batteries isn’t permitted anywhere in the park. This doesn’t apply to mobility scooters and other mobility aids.
